What a deactivation notice really means
When Amazon deactivates a seller account, it stops your selling privileges and usually holds your disbursements until the case is resolved. The notice on your Account Health page names a reason, but it is often generic. A message about “policy violations” can sit on top of an authenticity complaint, a related-account flag, or a performance problem that started months earlier.
The appeal has to answer the reason Amazon actually has on file. That's why we read the whole account history, not just the latest notice, before anything is written.
Common reasons accounts get suspended
- Performance metrics. Order defect rate, late shipments, or pre-fulfillment cancellations drift past Amazon's targets.
- Product authenticity. Buyer or brand complaints that items are inauthentic, and invoices that don't prove the supply chain.
- Intellectual property. Repeated trademark, copyright, or patent complaints from rights owners.
- Identity and verification. Documents that don't match each other, or a verification step that was never completed.
- Related accounts. Amazon links your account to another account that was suspended or that it thinks you control.
- Restricted products and listing policy. Items in restricted categories, prohibited claims, or safety and compliance flags.
- Seller Code of Conduct. Review manipulation, misleading listings, or other conduct Amazon treats as serious.
Don't send a quick apology. Amazon shows the “Reactivate now” button right away, and many sellers submit a short note that same day. When it's rejected, your next appeal is read alongside the first one. Your first real submission matters most.
How we handle a suspension
- Read everything. Your notice, your Account Health page, and your performance notifications, so we know every open issue.
- Find the root cause. Not the generic reason in the email, but what in your operations actually led to it.
- Write the Plan of Action. Root cause, the actions you've already taken, and the changes that stop it happening again. Written for your case, never a template. How we write a Plan of Action
- Check the evidence. Every invoice, document, and screenshot is checked before it reaches Amazon.
- Follow through. If Amazon asks for more information, we answer it with you on WhatsApp until there's a decision.
What to send us
- A screenshot of the deactivation notice and your Account Health page
- Your Performance Notifications page, so we can see the full history
- Anything you've already submitted to Amazon, and any replies
- One line about what you sell and where you source it
